Welcome to the Tulsa Dog Training Club

TDTC exists to promote the training of dogs, to conduct dog training classes, and to promote sportsmanship in the training and exhibition of dogs.

The Tulsa Dog Training Club, Inc. was organized in 1947 and is the oldest obedience training club in the State of Oklahoma.

All members offer their services on a volunteer basis and receive no remuneration. In order to carry out our objectives, the members work together to perform the many chores necessary to provide the services we offer.

Getting started with our classes…

Puppy Classes

Students in our Puppy Classes receive tips and tricks on housebreaking, crate training, how to stop biting and chewing, as well as grooming and life skills for your puppy!

Obedience

Obedience provides a cornerstone for your relationship. From beginners obedience to advanced skills and every thing in between, we have a class for you and your pet.

Tricks Class

A great way to build engagement and focus with your dog. Our tricks class will not only help grow your dog’s repertoire of cues, but work toward AKC Trick Dog titles.

Taking it to the next level…

Advanced Obedience

Advanced obedience classes for dogs offer specialized training to refine and perfect their obedience skills, enabling them to excel in complex commands and real-world situations. These classes are ideal for owners looking to take their dog’s training to the next level.

Rally

Rally classes foster a strong bond between dogs and their handlers while enhancing obedience and agility skills through engaging courses. These classes are a rewarding experience for dogs and owners alike.

Agility

Dogs who have a good start in Obedience may enjoy Agility. Dogs are exposed to full-sized agility equipment and taught various agility handing skills.

Scent Work

This relatively new sport for pet dogs and their owners is an offshoot of the training professional scent detection dogs receive. Scent work encourages your dog to use their natural hunting drive and unique talent for picking up scents and locating the source.

Brag Board

Did your dog do well in their first show? Maybe they completed a title you’ve been working really hard on. This is a great place to tell us all about your and your dog’s latest accomplishments.

Paw Pals

Paw Pals is an AKC recognized therapy group. We visit schools, nursing homes, and hospitals to give children, residents and patients the opportunity to spend some time with a well behaved dog.

Upcoming Events

Whether you’re looking to enroll in classes, or simply looking for the next AKC event we’re holding, the Events Calendar is the place to start. All TDTC sanctioned events and classes can be found here.
